Here is how dictionary.com defines "friend":
1. a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
2. a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter
3. a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile
So basically, friends support each other, have similar interests, and do not talk behind each other's backs.
Are you such a friend?
In this society, it is too hard to not talk about someone behind his or her back, because nobody is perfect. However, a true friendship consists of friends who accept everything about each other-including the flaws; they don't talk to other people about these flaws, but instead, they help that person to improve and get rid of those flaws.
Yet again, it is far easier just to talk than to do something.
In this society, people are selfish. Or maybe just the people who move to the United States. They care about their well-being; everything else is bull. A friendship can't last because people no longer have the same classes. Isn't that just lame? A real, true friendship can last through anything- especially long distances! They just use you for their own expediences: homework, rides, etc.
WHY?? Aren't we all looking for a new and real friendship? Why does everybody closes his heart and starts wearing masks?
In the end, I just want to say: True friendship does exist; you just gotta believe that it does.
